Salman Khan's latest film, "Dabangg 2" collected over 65 crore in the opening weekend after making a wonderful opening on Friday, raking in 21.10 crore at the box office.
not yet Dabangg 2 held up very strongly on Monday as it collected around 12 crore nett. It is the highest non holiday Monday of all time beating the previous record holder which was the first Dabangg released in 2010. Dabangg had collected 10.75 crore nett on Monday.
The highest Monday till date is Ek Tha Tiger at 19 crore nett but that was on a holiday for Eid. The four day total for Dabangg 2 is over 70 crore nett and a big Tuesday is expected as it is holiday for Christmas. For comparison Ek Tha Tiger was 72 crore nett after four days.
The business from Wednesday onwards and second weekend which will tell where the film is going. Around 190 crore nett looks assured on a worst case scenario and time will tell how much higher it goes.
